Meet Information
Mountain Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships
Wednesday, October 18th
Location: North Buncombe High School and North Buncombe County Recreation Park. The
races start on the North Buncombe practice athletic field and finish in the main
Stadium.
Coaches Meeting: 4:30 pm at visitor concession.
Race Start Times: Boys 5:00 pm, Girls 5:45 pm.
Awards: Following the conclusion of the girls race.
Parking: Bus and spectator parking will be in the visitor football lot located on Clarks Chapel
Road. This is the same lot for the softball fields and rec park pool. Do not enter
through the main school entrance.
Admission/Entry: There will be an $8 entry fee charged for all spectators. Tickets will be available through GoFan or cash at the gate. Athletes and spectators will enter through the visitor football gate.
Tents: If it is necessary to set up team tents, set up tents behind the visitors bleachers. Do
not set up tents in the visitor bleachers. This area is for spectators to view the
finish line.
Bathrooms: The visitor football bathrooms will be open before and during the meet.
Timing:Timing will be performed by NBHS with assistance from Coach Stroup (AHS).
Results: Results will be posted on NC Milesplit.
Course: The course is a challenging out-and-back (with 2 woods loops) format with 4 major
hills. Both 1 mile and 2 mile will be marked and splits will be provided.
Registration: Enter through NC Milesplit.
The entry deadline is October 14th at midnight.
Athletic Trainer: NBHS will have an Athletic Trainer on site.
